November 8th 1720
A month has passed since the retaking of Logan’s Bay and the return of the ports’ ships to harbour. The fight however was very costly and many lives were lost, including many of the ships’ notable characters. The aftermath of Grimes was nothing short of horrific and left many shocked and scared for days after. A new Governor was elected and an attempt to return the port to some kind of normality has begun.

The Governor has also pledged help to the Commodore of Frontier in its retaking; it was discovered that a large fleet of Spanish Ships has landed there and claimed it for Castile, the Spanish Colony Island. The discovery of Spanish on Frontier was made after a portal was established to Silver’s Cabin from Logan’s Bay and the expeditionary force found itself tied up in an exchange of arms with the Conquistadors they met. Many lost their lives during the exchange of arms and several from Logan’s Bay were taken hostage. Ransom was offered and paid and they returned back to Logan’s Bay.

It’s said that the Spanish have found a plantation of Oak and have plans to build a new armada like nothing this world have ever seen. This threat is clearly not one that can be ignored.

The Pirate King is finally dead and his spirit was spent when a locker box containing Davy Jones’ Bones was opened. Every ounce of magic and mystic power within a nautical mile was sucked from the world, and all those cursed with the lifeless life finally are finally rested. This included the protective enchantments the gypsies had made, those of the Guild on the bank buildings and the new portal.

However….Grimes’ death has left a huge hole in the Barbary Islands and without a master, could become a real issue for all trade on the oceans and a threat to any free port. The war between the Barbary and the Orange Isle doesn’t look like its going to end, however it’s rumored that a number of Dutch merchant vessels have been escorted by Spanish warships.

A British Uprising on Salvation.
With all this turmoil going on, a breakaway faction of red coats, lead by a man called Red Cochran has begun targeting French caravans moving across Salvation. Utterly ruthless and totally dedicated, this new threat to Salvation has put Logan’s Bay in an awkward position. A Major Shaw of the rebel faction tried to broke a deal with new Governor, but when unable to strike an accord left with an unsatisfactory demeanour. A unit of the rebels managed to make their way into the outskirts of the bay, chasing after a party that had found and retrieved Grimes’s treasure horde. Unable to penetrate the old bank buildings’ iron door, they fled empty handed but showed vulnerability the bay hadn’t had before.

Finally….a vassal of the deep, a son of the sleeping Kraken visited the world of humans and brought warning and great portents. Pan, the broken spirit of Voodun had made a deal to awake Eris, Goddess of discord. The deal included the soul of Grimes. She has awoken and the scales of balance are unaligned, if the Kraken awakes to rebalance them, the world will be swallowed. To balance this, another god has awoken…
