With the smoking remains of Solo’s villa behind them\, and an uneasy truce with the two Gaullish tribes who Solo and his wife Serena had hoodwinked into his scam\, the 11th made good progress\, although the bastions of civilisation were still some weeks ahead when a messenger arrived from the Castra Treverorum\, a military camp and border post a days’ march to the East. \n  \n“Military Tribune Tarquinius\, \nPraise Minerva for the news of your arrival!
