Story So Far

Fresh from light duties in the region of Narbo, and dealing with the corrupt Lanista Septimus, many of the Eleventh Auxillary cohort of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata are glad to receive orders to march north to the simpler politics of the soldier’s life – gladius in one hand, scutum in the other.

General Caesar has subdued all of Gaul, subdued that is, bar a few outposts who are proving… difficult.

One such region is Uxellodunum, province of the Cadurci tribe. Although barely a stone’s throw from the Roman Provinces of southern Gaul, the terrain has made it impossible for the legions to simply march in and do what they do best. The Duranus river surrounds three sides, a mountainside the fourth, and the Legatus in command is doggedly keeping them penned in, but rumour is he at a loss against these Gauls who seem to need for nothing inside their keep.

The orders from Legatus Gaius Caninius Rebilus are simple. The Eleventh will march north from Narbo and prevent reinforcements reaching the siege from other rebels in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Commandeer the fortress of Sotium and be ready for further orders.

The Hound of Alesia has barked, and the Eleventh had better answer.
