You play a character from that has died at any point in time between now and the Ancient period.

Geographically, characters can come from anywhere in North America or Europe.

The world they come from is our world, and our history, with the only change being that it is gender neutral. Both men and women have been treated equally through time and it is completely appropriate for a women to have fought in the crusades or for man to have been a seamstress.
