Story so far

Autumn 1722

Five crews haul together, each ship outfitted enough to repair the wounds of the Armada that once nearly spelled their doom. A summer of the return to sea spray and blood – the currency of their little civilisation.

Though fell winds stopped all from setting sail at first, for fear of being dashed on the rocks of their island salvation or plunged down to the deep, soon after midsummer when the storms abate, each crew loads their cargo and weighs anchor one by one.

The clerks and the few tradesfolk left bide their time, returning to the quiet work of their account books and their crafts…
